THROUGH BYGONE ERAS

The Open Europe Educational Programs Association presents a new exhibition: Through Time

We offer you the opportunity to do so through a unique educational experience where we will accompany your students for different periods of history. This free activity lasts approximately one hour and has a capacity for a maximum of 15 students.

Students will have the opportunity to explore fossils that tell the history of life on Earth, from the first organisms to the most impressive prehistoric creatures. You can see remains of animals from different eras such as dinosaur eggs about 225 million years old, mammoth teeth, together with mastodon, and megalodon teeth, among others.

This collection includes world-class archaeological treasures, from the majestic pyramids of Egypt (with real falcon mummies, ushabtis, mortuary masks, jewels, and statues), through the ancient civilizations of Sumer and Babylon (with a Babylonian cone and tablets in cuneiform writing), to the impressive Greek pieces. We will be able to see weapons, dice, rings, and much more from Rome.

You will also find ancient Chinese artifacts (bust of Xi’an terracotta warriors and funerary weapons) and pre-Columbian art pieces (both Maya and Tairona jewels) that offer a unique global perspective of the cultural evolution of humanity.

Admission is free for school groups, dates and times are to be agreed with each group.
